To make way for Homer Bailey who will be making his first MLb start tonight against the Cleveland Indians, Todd Coffey was optioned back to AAA Louisville. I really have no idea why Coffey was the one to go. He hasn't been pitching badly since he got up from AAA, but now he just has to go back and try to keep improving his pitching. At least it wasn't McBeth who was sent down, because he looked good the other night. Bailey will wear the number 34 in his debut tonight.
The bullpen now looks like:

MR: Jared Burton
MR: Gary Majewski
MR: Marcus McBeth
S: Jon Coutlangus
S: Mike Stanton
C: David Weathers
It will be interesting to see which right hander Jerry Narron decides to put into the setup role with Coffey demoted. I think that it will be Majewski, even though I kind of want McBeth to get a shot. Only about 4 more hours to Bailey time, a pre game will be coming soon.
